This Friday, June 5, is First Friday in Downtown Knoxville, an event featuring gallery crawls and retail store receptions. Right in the heart of this is the Emporium Center at 100 S. Gay Street, which will offer several exhibition openings of interest. The First Friday hours are 5-9 p.m.
The third annual Knoxville Photo 2015 opens June 5 and runs through June 27 in the Main Gallery. This juried exhibition features selected works from 32 photographers, many from Knoxville and East Tennessee, as well as others from the Southeast U.S.
Made in South Knoxville: Works by Ryan Blair and Robin Surber, also opening June 5, can be found on the Emporium Balcony.
Also at the Emporium Center are a series of paintings by Anna Rykazewska, Look to See, and photography by Rachael Quammie.
If you can’t make it on First Friday, Emporium gallery hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM and Saturday, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
