Knoxville’s spring festival season is in full swing and this weekend brings Knoxville Opera’s Rossini Festival Street Fair and a production of Giuseppe Verdi’s Il Trovatore. Check out the Rossini Festival insert in this week’s Knoxville Mercury.

• Saturday, 10 a.m til 9 p.m. — Rossini Festival International Street Fair, Free to attend; food, drink, and crafts available for purchase
“In its 14th year, the Rossini Festival International Street Fair is a full day cultural celebration, spanning 14 city blocks of downtown Knoxville including Gay Street and into Market Square. The approximately 60,000 to 100,000 attendees can celebrate the arts with local and regional artisan exhibits featuring handcrafted works, live musical and dancing entertainment and a plethora of culinary delights.”
