Benefiting from the success of the Covid-19 vaccinations, the Knoxville visual arts and performance scene is not only re-opening, but feels like the metaphorical coiled spring ready to throw its full energy into a new season. Organizations like Knoxville Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Knoxville Downtown, and Flying Anvil Theatre have already announced their plans, concerts, and productions for the 2021-22 season, and announcements are coming soon for Marble City Opera, Knoxville Opera, Clarence Brown Theatre, and others. Museums and galleries continue with ongoing exhibitions. In the meantime, here are a few of the shows and exhibitions that are available this week.
