University of Tennessee School of Music Concerts and Recitals
UT Symphony Orchestra
Music director and conductor James Fellenbaum is focusing on the musical “Narrative” in this Sunday’s UT Symphony Concert. In the three works on the program, composer Caroline Shaw tells her own story in entr’acte, Florence Price tells the story of the Mississippi River in Mississippi River Suite, and Rimsky-Korsakov tells a host of stories in the 1001 nights of Scheherazade. Yes, women storytellers are the intriguing feature of this program.
