The Knoxville Chamber Music Society returns for its second season with a bold statement that “more is more.” Its two performances last year will become four Saturday evenings this season—September 10 and October 22 of 2022 and February 25 and April 22 of 2023. These performances are eclectic collections of intriguing works that sprawl across a broad swath of the chamber music repertoire.
While downtown seemed perfect for KCMS, their venue for the 2022-23 season moves west to Westminster Presbyterian Church, at 6500 Northshore Drive. All concerts begin at 7:00 PM. Admission is free, but donations are welcome and helpful.
The first installment this Saturday evening (September 10) features a diverse program—
• Heinrich Scheidemann: Gott sei gelobet und gebenedeiet (God Be Praised and Blessed)
Peter Van Eenam, Organ (Van Eenam is the music director at Westminster Presbyterian)
