Knoxville Symphony Orchestra — “Cirque Goes Broadway”
Cirque Goes Broadway is a unique collaboration between Cirque de la Symphonie and John Such Artists’ Management created for this Knoxville Symphony Orchestra concert.
“Knoxville Symphony Orchestra musicians led by Music Director Aram Demirjian performing popular Broadway hits featuring vocalists Anne Runolfsson and Hugh Panaro. Cirque de la Symphonie artists perform visually stunning choreography above and around the orchestra, featuring contortionists, aerial flyers, acrobats and strongmen. Broadway selections include works from “Wicked,” “The Music Man,” “Cats,” “Frozen,” “West Side Story” and more.”

Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony Presents “Bookmarks From Japan”
“Bookmarks from Japan” by Appalachia: A Southeastern Wind Symphony and Shamisen Knoxville will be held at Knoxville Catholic High School on Saturday evening, February 11, 7:00 PM.
The concert will feature works by Japanese composers Yasuhide Ito, Hirokazu Fukushima, and Soichi Konagaya, concluding with Symphony No. 4 “Bookmarks from Japan,” by American composer, Julie Giroux. “Bookmarks from Japan.” was inspired by six bookmarks Giroux received, depicting locations all over Japan, such as Kinryuzan Temple in Asakusa and views from Mt. Fuji.
