This weekend really forces one to make some uncomfortable choices in the Knoxville arts and music scene. Despite the pain of having to choose among competing interests, this is probably a good thing, all things considered.
Film Fest Knox Kicks Off This Weekend
While there have been other efforts to have an ongoing film festival operation in Knoxville—some of them substantial and long-term—Film Fest Knox seems to have what it takes in the way of credibility and support to make a go of it for Knoxville film fans. This week, the inaugural international FILM FEST KNOX kicks off on Thursday – Sunday, November 9-12, at the Regal Riviera in downtown Knoxville.
Film Fest Knox is a partnership between Visit Knoxville Film Office and The Public Cinema, with an additional partnership with Regal Cinemas to host the screenings downtown.
